Visit Captain Cooks Landing & take a short walk to the breathtaking viewpoints over the Bay of Islands. With sightseeing, Wildlife, Island Stopovers, Snorkelling and Commentary throughout the afternoon - Join us on board and discover this beautiful part of the country - Off the Beaten Track!

Itinerary:

With a maximum of 20 guests, join us as we cruise among 144 subtropical islands and share the highlights of the Bay of Islands.

• 3.30pm Depart Paihia wharf

• Scenic cruise towards Russell, following the coastline out to Roberton Island

• Visit Cooks Cove (James Cook's landing site in 1769)

• First stopover on Roberton Island (Twin Lagoons)

• Short walk along the bush trail to the breathtaking 360 degree lookout point

• Wildlife spotting throughout the day - We often see marine wildlife, penguins, gannets etc...

• Continue cruising further into the islands, to our second island stopover.

• Activity Time // All equipment provided

  • Snorkel the underwater reefs

  • Paddle-board in the flat sheltered waters of the islands

  • Relax on the golden sand beaches

  • Take a walk to the island view points

  • Dip into the crystal clear waters for a swim

  • Occasionally we can even taste Kina (seafood) fresh from the ocean!

• Homeward bound - we re-board our high speed passenger vessel and take a sightseeing cruise back through the islands to disembark in Paihia at 6.30pm.
